ENSURING TODAY'S WATER AND WASTEWATER PLANT OPERATORS MEET ONTARIO'S CURRENT REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS
Operators: Currently there are nearly 25,000 certificates/ licenses for water and wastewater plant operators and WQA in over 455 municipalities across Ontario. Regulation 435/93 enacted July 26, 1993 created a mandatory licensing system for operators of drinking water and domestic sewage treatment facilities in Ontario. The change to a mandatory licensing from a voluntary certification program was made by regulation under section 75 of the Ontario Water Resources Act |
